Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer recognized for her roles played as the character of Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The television series The Mentalist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies at Brown University, and a Master in Fine Arts in Acting at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue has a reputation as an American actor also known as producer and director. She is employed in film and television. She began her career as an actor in theater before going on to be a part of numerous television series, mainstream and independent films. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of the epic BET series The Book of Negroes for which she not only received high praise but also received a host of awards and nominations including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. In 1995, she was the first to appear as Ariel on stage in The Tempest. She has performed in Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Coming to her movie career she is most well-known for her roles in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Also, she is well-known for her character on ABC's crime-drama High Incident.
